- Brodus Clay recently spoke to John Pollock of The Fight Network about the incident with Cameron at dress rehearsals for WrestleMania 29, which aired on Total Divas. The incident led to Cameron’s boyfriend, Vincent, wanting to fight him. Brodus said:
“I think he was doing that display for the cameras. Up until that day, I had never seen Cameron cry a day in her life. She’s always been a tough, very confident, very outspoken woman. Some would say she could even be a bit bullying at times… Vincent’s thing, I think, was more for the cameras because I saw him at the end of the night, and he definitely wasn’t yelling and screaming at me.”
Brodus also discussed how the argument was over how Cameron reacts to Tensai:
“When he says something, you should probably respect it, and that wasn’t done. I said something to her about it, and she said something to me about it, and I said ‘I’m not dealing with it’ and I walked away. And I guess she looked at it as an opportunity, ...

And I’m sure Axel Curtis or Curtis Axel was in there somewhere. I was talking with a guy that works for WWE, Joey Styles, he actually brought that name up as one of the possibilities. Which, you know, is kind of nice, so I can try to do this on my own, and I tried to do the best I could with Michael McGillicutty without any TV time or whatever. But I’m sure that n...
For those wondering, we can report that Daniel Bryan is currently penciled in to win the WWE title near the end of the current feud with Randy Orton and Triple H. The end of that feud is still several months away though.
As we reported earlier, Orton vs. D-Bryan is planned for the next few months. WWE is reportedly planning the feud to carry on throughout the fall, with Bryan and Orton facing off at Night of Champions, Battleground, and Hell in a Cell. The plan is to apparently have Orton in the WWE title picture up until the 2014 Royal Rumble.
They are making Daniel Bryan out to be a massive underdog who eventually wins the WWE title and has a decent run with it. This is a classic example of the “underdog” babyface chasing the “main eventer” heel. It’s a smart business move with Daniel Bryan “overcoming all the odds” and winning the WWE title at the end of the feud. For those bitching and moaning about Daniel Bryan not getting the WWE title, simply let the storyline p...

– Just to recap – the Carrol County Times has an interview with Curtis Axel, in which he talks about his new name, working hard to get rid of the Michael McGullicutty persona and training with The Rock to get him ready for WrestleMania. He was also asked about how his partnership with Paul Heyman started. He said: “We were talking about it and I brought it up to him, what do you think about this, us being together? Brock’s part-time and CM Punk was hurt at the time and I was like, Paul, WWE needs Paul Heyman on television. So that was my pitch to him. But before that, before I was even with him, he would be at the live events and this Raw and Smackdown TVs and he would come up and give me advice. So I was like, man, if this guy wants to take time out of his busy day and help me out, I would ...

I was at the Shawn Michaels Q&A event hosted by Top Rope Pro Wrestling in Waynesboro, VA. This was just an autograph signing and Q&A (as opposed to being attached to an indy card), but it was much better organized than the Mick Foley experience they had promoted in the past.
For one, they had VIPs and assigned seating (I was the first seat). Secondly, Shawn had flown in the night before, so everything was on time (whereas Foley’s flights were delayed over an hour).
Finally, they kept the line for the meet and greet well contained. Some people didn’t get the word that they’d moved up the start time to 10:30 and were doing the meet and greet first, but they took care of everyone, to the point that if you weren’t happy with your photo, they let you get another at the end of the line.
Shawn was very nice to everyone, very quiet and humble, and he tweeted his thanks to the fans after…and he tweeted a response t...

The Big Show posted a new photo and set it as his new Twitter profile image. He has lost a ton of weight over the past few weeks. If you’re interested, you can click here to view the new look photo.
As noted yesterday here on the website, WWE is hoping The Big Show can get medical clearance to return to action soon. With SummerSlam in two weeks, his window is closing to appear at the event. If he’s cleared, you can expect to see him appear on RAW tomorrow night to begin hyping the match. As of last word, the plan was to do Mark Henry & The Big Show vs. The Shield in a handicap match at the big SummerSlam pay-per-view.

Following Saturday night’s All-Star Extravaganza and last week’s four ROH TV tapings, the second round matches for the ROH world title tournament have been set.
The following matches have spoilers for the next four weeks of ROH TV:
* Adam Cole vs. Jay Lethal
* Tommaso Ciampa vs. Mike Bennett**
* “Machine Gun” Karl Anderson vs. Michael Elgin
* Roderick Strong vs. Kevin Steen
It is likely Mike Bennett will advance in the tournament with B.J. Whitmer’s recent injury. ROH has not officially announced the fate of the fourth tournament spot.
With recent releases and restructuring within TNA, former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray and announcer Jeremy Borash handled a variety of backstage duties at TNA live events last weekend.
According to sources, Ray worked as the agent for the shows and Borash handled business related work a second agent would normally handle.
TNA agent Pat “Simon Diamond” Kenney was also at the event and running things backstage. Kenney attends nearly all TNA live events and is described as the “main agent in charge.”
Hey everybody it's Reflex as usual and I'm going to be putting up the first instalment of my new article series, the WWE Plus/Minus. I will choose three superstars/divas/announcer/bellringers/storylines and anything else that I do like, and three I don't in comparison. This won't be every week, bi-weekly or monthly, It will be whenever I feel I have three problems and three things I like about WWE at the time. I choose WWE and not TNA or Wrestling in general because I don't keep up as much with TNA as I'd like to, and I wil start but they won't be included in this article. Let's kick it off with the bad news.
"Supershow"
I don't know about you guys, but that has been bothering be for a long period of time. The WWE has pretty much thrown brands into no-mans land. There are smackdown superstars all over RAW and RAW Superstars all over smackdown. Why? The draft is one of my favorite WWE events of the year and these last two years haven't even had o...

– For those who may have missed it last week here on the website, former ECW star New Jack passed out in a club in Atlantic City. According to reports, New Jack was drinking and his blood pressure was “sky high.” Jack, 50, was rushed to a hospital and woke up in the emergency room. He stated that no longer taking his medication caused the issue.
Former TNA star Jesse Sorensen worked his first wrestling match since his serious neck injury back in 2012 for the Florida Underground Wrestling promotion in Tampa. He worked in a tag team match with three local wrestlers. Sorensen reportedly wasn’t cleared to make a return to the ring by doctors.
As we reported, Sorensen was released by TNA a few weeks ago and had been pushing to make his ring return for them, but the company reportedly didn’t want to take the risk if something bad happened. Hulk Hogan wished him well on Twitter.

Mark Henry was interviewed by The Green Bay Press Gazette. Here are some highlights.
Getting his start with WWE: “I was a wrestling fan. That’s what got me to the WWE; the fact that they saw me on television talking about how on Saturday, Sunday and Monday were the days I watched wrestling and I didn’t like to be bothered. So Vince McMahon called me and said, I appreciate you like what we do. Maybe you should come out sometime and see what we do, and here we are 17 years later.”
If his fake retirement speech was his best promo: “It’s up there. It’s in the top three. In 2006, I did a eulogy with the Undertaker. I preached a sermon that day that I think could go down in history. I also did a promo when I was Sexual Chocolate where I said I had an addiction problem with women and ...
As reported earlier, CM Punk sang during the 7th inning stretch at a Chicago Cubs game last week. CM Punk was asked if he preferred being a babyface or a heel before he took the mic to sing.
“It’s way more fun to be a bad guy, way more fun.” Punk admitted. He joked, “I don’t know who I am right now.”
When Punk was asked if a 10 year old child likes bad guys, Punk replied, “when I was a 10 year old kid, that’s all I cared about was the bad guy.”
Punk said his favorite heels growing up were Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels.

As noted earlier here on the website, Ricardo Rodriguez is scheduled to return to WWE on 8/12 at the RAW taping in Sacramento, California. Rodriguez (real name Jesús Rodríguez) was suspended for 30 days back on 7/2 for violating the company’s Talent Wellness Program. It was his first violation of the policy.
Speaking of Ricardo Rodriguez, Alberto Del Rio will be defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Christian at the upcoming WWE SummerSlam PPV on 8/18 in Los Angeles, California. Christian def. Randy Orton and Rob Van Dam in a triple threat match on SmackDown this past Friday night to earn the title shot against Del Rio. No word on if Rodriguez will be appearing alongside Del Rio at SummerSlam.
The Green Bay Press Gazette is featuring an interview with WWE star Mark Henry where he talks about his “retirement” promo on RAW with John Cena and how it compared to others.
Henry added, “It’s up there. It’s in the top three. In 2006, I did a eulogy with the Undertaker. I preached a sermon that day that I think could go down in history. I also did a promo when I was Sexual Chocolate where I said I had an addiction problem with women and I cried with (former WWE superstar) Chyna, so my ability to do this stuff has always been there. It’s just a matter of where I’m put in the pecking order.”

On the segment on RAW revealing he would face John Cena at Summerslam:
“It was incredible and humbling. I have been wresting for a long time and most of the time it was in front of very small crowds who couldn’t care less about who was coming out there. I have wrestled in front of 13 people! And just hearing the reaction of the people in Brooklyn who were shouting “Yes! Yes!” – it was very surreal. Like ‘is this really my life?’”
On comments by Mick Foley that he feels the time is now for Daniel Bryan:

On his WWE debut: I never thought it was a possibility. My dreams were to become a decent Indy wrestler. That’s all I wanted out of wrestling. I’d done a few matches for TNA and after word spread that there was a one-legged wrestler WWE snatched me up.
On the rumor WWE signed the wrong one-legged wrestler: That’s one thousand percent true. WWE heard about me and signed me based off one match. They hadn’t even seen me, so when they had John (Laurinitis) call around the country to find me, they found a school training another amputee. They assumed it was me and they signed him. TNA supporting Angle in rehab stint following DWI:
TNA star Kurt Angle is entering rehab after he was arrested and charged in Wichita Falls for Driving While Intoxicated after leaving the Impact tapings on Thursday. He was released on a $2000 bond.
The former Olympian has had a string of similar arrests over the years and has made the decision to get help. He wrote on Twitter…
“I am blessed to have the support of my family, my friends and my company. In light of recent events I will immediately be entering a rehabilitation center. I realize that this is a pivotal time in my life and I ask for your understanding as well as your prayers and continued support. I am confident that in taking these steps I can begin to address necessary changes in my life.”
Now this is just a thought and as such, it may be wishful thinking, but has Daniel Bryan set a precedent to be followed by everyone’s favorite unpushed indy star, Antonio Cesaro? I was thinking back to the July 22nd match between Cesaro and Bryan that was a classic even by a casual fan’s standards, and I started to wonder if Cesaro could follow the same path that has seemingly guided Bryan. Follow me, here. Years ago, people were raving about Bryan having the best match of the night at live events and putting on wrestling clinics at both live events and televised shows. The IWC was exultant in its praise of Bryan, as his work was being recognized, and with Bryan being a great worker, the IWC was validated for being huge fans. Bryan worked in the mid-card, did his time, wrestled well, was given a gimmick, injected his personality into that character, created a following due to his mat skills and then ascended.

During a match with Mike Bennett at tonight’s ROH event in Toronto, BJ Whitmer appeared to be seriously injured during a spot where Bennett gave him a piledriver on the ring apron. Here are reports from fans in attendance..
From Justin Tetreault: “BJ Whitmer just got taken out on a stretcher after taking a piledriver on the edge of the ring. They abruptly stopped the match and he got medical attention for a good 15 minutes. A few wrestlers (Brian Kendrick and Jay Lethal) came out looking really worried. It didn’t look like a work to me. They shut all the cameras off and were scrambling around trying to find the best way to take the stretcher out. Then they made an announcement that he was going to get medical attention and they would update us.”
From Mike Beauvais: “BJ Whitmer appears to have been seriously injured during a match with Michael Bennett. Bennett hit a piledriver on the apron. Backstage crew, wrestlers and medical professionals have attended ...
WWE has been contacting businesses to rent out props for Monday’s RAW in Green Bay. The company is reportedly looking for a barber’s chair and other set props for the show, and the feeling is that this has to do with the “Daniel Bryan corporate makeover” angle.
While the company will be running the makeover angle, it’s possible that WWE won’t go through with a drastic change for Bryan due to the fact that the new Daniel Bryan shirt is selling very well for the company. We shall see.
- The Big Show recently changed his display photo for his Twitter account, which you can see posted below.
- Jerry “The King” Lawler will be throwing the first pitch and signing autographs at the New Orleans Zephyr MiLB game tonight.
- WWE contacted a business a few weeks ago looking for a barber’s chair, which will most likely be used for Daniel Bryan’s “corporate makeover” on this Monday’s episode of Raw.
- Big E Langston has received some high marks for his singles matches on the current WWE tour overseas, particularly his matches against Randy Orton.
- Big Show is being looked at this weekend in hopes of being medically cleared to return to the ring. The feeling is they are going to have to start pushing The Shield’s SummerSlam match beginning this week on RAW.
As noted, the plan is to do Mark Henry and Big Show vs. all three members of The Shield. If Show isn’t cleared this weekend, they may decide to go in another direction.

Alberto Del Rio is in the ring and he is about to announce the person he will face for the World Title at SummerSlam. Alberto says that he wants to start off by saying thank you . . . thank you for nothing. When he was champion before, the people did not support him. They did not want him to be their champion.
Alberto says that there is nothing that the people can do about him being champion. Alberto thanks one person. The person with vision and leadership. That person is Vickie Guerrero. John Cena was allowed to choose his opponent for SummerSlam and Vickie has allowed him to do the same thing. He wants everyone to cheer for Vickie.
John Cena wasted his pick by choosing that little troll Daniel Bryan. We all know that John Cena only did that because he is afraid of Alberto Del Rio. That is when Alberto started thinking. Why don’t you choos...

MMA legend Tito Ortiz was indeed revealed as TNA’s “August 1st” mystery man on last night’s episode of Impact Wrestling. As the Main Event Mafia and Aces & Eights were brawling, following an agreement to retire the member of either group who is pinned in a 5 vs 5 tag match at Hardcore Justice, Ortiz hit the ramp to the surprise of both factions.
It looks like the Huntington Beach Bad Boy who recently signed with Bellator on Spike TV will end up being a wildcard in the ongoing feud, and his target may very well be the MEM’s Rampage Jackson, who he will face in an MMA fight on November 2nd.
Where to begin on Randal Keith Orton? Well for one thing he is Mr. Money in the Bank for the WWE title on Raw. So when he was placed in the triple threat #1 contenders match for Alberto Del Rio’s World Heavyweight Title on this weeks Smackdown, it raised my red flags… well blue flags it was Smackdown not Raw. Now would it be a good idea for Orton to win the World Heavyweight Title and then cash in to become the WWE Championship the same night or at a later date to become Undisputed Champion? Well of course, but we all know that is not going to happen. For one thing we just finished naming Vickie Guerrero and Brad Maddox as GM’s of said shows.
What makes this worse is when you start to ask yourself who else could of been in this match? Cody Rhodes for one! Dusty’s son was robbed of the Smackdown Money in the Bank briefcase at the Money in the Bank pay per view by Damien Sandow. How great a story would it have been for Cody to win a match this past Friday, go on to become World ...

"I am blessed to have the support of my family, my friends and my company," he wrote. "In light of recent events, I will be immediately entering a rehabilitation center. I realize that this is a pivotal time in my life and I ask for your understanding as well as your prayers and continued support. The accused party pleaded guilty in court yesterday, August 1, 2013, and was charged and ordered to either pay a fine of 500 Rand or, alternatively, serve 30 days in jail.
After acknowledging his wrongfulness, the accused individual was given a three-year suspended sentence, and is not permitted to attend WWE’s Live Events in Johannesburg, South Africa, this week.
ORIGINAL: Tshepo Sekhabi, the 20-year-old independent wrestler who tried to make a name by attacking Randy Orton, wound up being charged today and pleaded guilty to assault.
Sekhabi was ordered to either pay a fine of 500 Rand ($50) or serve 30 days in jail.
Sekhabi was also given a three year suspended sentence.
For those wondering, this was not a work by any means. There are no plans to follow-up on anything. It was simply a dumb idiot fan trying to make a name for himself.
WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has updated his Q&A on jrsbarbq.com again this week. Here are some highlights from this entry:
On Dean Ambrose’s future: “The goal is always for any entity to have more sizzle and potential when they split and become single stars. Ambrose will be interesting to follow along with Rolins and Reigns.”
If CM Punk will main event WrestleMania XXX: “It’s certainly possible.”
If “Stone Cold” Steve Austin would still be wrestling if he never suffered the neck injury: “My guess is not likely. At least not full time.”
On Bray Wyatt’s wrestling ability: “Many of us have seen him wrestle a great deal in NXT. He’s a keeper.”

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is back with a new blog on jrsbarbq.com. Here are some highlights from this entry:
If Daniel Bryan can beat John Cena at SummerSlam: “Any one who is convinced that Daniel Bryan has no chance to beat John Cena at Summer Slam perhaps should reassess their take on that match. Not only can Bryan win, I think that he will win. Happy that I will be in arena watching. These two have an amazing contrast in styles and will likely close the PPV and, as all main eventers have for decades, have the obligation to close what is expected to be a strong PPV in a big way. I am very curious to see how these two mesh once the bell rings and I feel it could, arguably, well be Cena’s best match since HBK and the Punk match in Chicago. Bryan is the hottest talent in the business as we speak, in my opinion.”
