Report: The Undertaker Gone Until SummerSlam?

While previous reports suggested that The Undertaker would be working Extreme Rules in order to make up for CM Punk and The Rock not appearing on the card, that appears to have changed. Due to the fact that John Cena will reportedly be ready to go for his WWE Title match with Ryback, WWE is taking him off of TV until at least SummerSlam.

The company will use the Shield’s attack on ‘Taker on SmackDown last week as a way to write him out for now.

Steve Austin Update, WWE Officials High On Big E. Langston

– Steve Austin is ready to clock out from his job as the host of Redneck Island. Through Twitter, the former WWE Heavyweight Champion revealed that he was done filming the third season of the reality TV show. He also stated that someone on the show won $100,000, and that he might have a little tequila, as the show was taped in Mexico.

– WWE officials have been really impressed with Big E Langston over the last few weeks, and a championship reign is currently being discussed. Many want to put the United States Championship, which was recently won by Kofi Kingston, around his waist. Management wants to test the audience reaction to Langston being a secondary champion before even considering him for the primary belts.

– For a while there, Fandango was using the flying leg drop like former WCW star Bobby Eaton as his finishing move. However, that takes quite the toll on the body. Plus, ...

Report: The Rock At WrestleMania 30?, + Original Plans

Even though The Rock said that WrestleMania 29 may be his last match, most within WWE expect him to wrestle again. His final match will likely take place at WrestleMania XXX in April 2014.

Before his injury, he was set to face Brock Lesnar at either SummerSlam or next year’s WrestleMania. As we noted earlier here on the website, while the relationship with The Rock is on thin ice right now, WWE is said to be hoping for him to return in October. Vince McMahon obviously wants to continue the business relationship and has opted against trashing his former heavyweight champion. The belief is that the CEO wants the Rock to return to work the Hell in a Cell pay per view, which is taking place in his hometown of Miami, FL.

Kofi Kingston beat Antonio Cesaro to retain the U.S. Title in 20:00. Cesaro worked over Kofi’s leg most of the match. He used a few Boston Crabs. Kofi botched a lot but the crowd loved him. Kofi got on the mic after the match and said he’s a daddy now and gave a shout out to the kid and his wife saying he’s coming home to see them.

Lots of kids here. They love to cheer the faces and boo the heels. Good crowd though. At least their alive.

**SPOILERS** WWE SmackDown Results For Friday

WWE SmackDown (Airing Friday):

The show opened with a Ryback promo in the ring. We gave him the What! treatment. For some reason, the crowd still chanted Feed Me More, yet still booed him.

Ryback defeated Daniel Bryan in 14:00. Ryback won with Shellshocked. One of Ryback’s better matches, probably cause of who he was in the ring with.

Renee Young interviewed Ricardo, who spoke really fast in Spanish. Alberto Del Rio calmed him down but I didn’t really pick up what they were talking about.

Fandango defeated Zack Ryder in 3:00. Fandango won with the top rope leg drop. The crowd tried to Fandango, but it didn’t get over that well. They are no Jersey. I was there and no crowd will ever beat that.
