WWE Cancels Next Week's SmackDown From Colorado Springs
WWE has officially cancelled SmackDown which was scheduled to be taped on Tuesday, July 10 at the Colorado Springs World Arena as a result of the Waldo Canyon Fire. WWE now intends to tape both next week's Raw and SmackDown on July 9 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, CO. A spokesman for the company said, we look forward to returning to Colorado Springs and our thoughts are with all those affected by the fire. WWE is to donate $10,000 to the local relief efforts. Below is the full press statement: STAMFORD, Conn. Due to the Waldo Canyon fire, WWE (NYSE: WWE) SmackDown on Tuesday, July 10 at World Arena in Colorado Springs has been cancelled. Refunds for tickets purchased for this event are available at point of purchase. To offer support to those families affected by the wildfires, WWE will be donating $10,000 to the American Red Cross, which is assisting in local relief efforts.
