Non-title action as WWF Champ Bret Hart faces Kwang! Oh, Kwang. In another year you’ll be Savio Vega, but now you’re a martial arts master who spits mist and gets managed by Harvey f’n Wippleman. I guess what I’m saying is, wrestling gimmicks are weird.
Of course the show opens with Lawler falling off his platform again. It was pretty clearly Duane Gill’s fault.
Savage is still the cohost, and still talking about Lawler falling. Tonight Lawler interviews Alundra Blayze! Vince says if Kwang beats Bret Hart, it’ll catapult him in the rankings. Savage says he wants a title shot himself.
Out comes Bret for the non-title match. Kwang is already in the ring and Savage says he’s on his feet out of respect. Also he says his blood is boiling. Bret hands out a pair of sunglasses, as usual.
