Looking At WWE's Live Event Numbers; International Business Struggles

WWE's Second Quarter 2012 business reveals domestic PPV buys for WrestleMania 28 and other PPVs boosted the overall quarter, but international business slowed down. International live events performed poorly. WWE didn't reveal specifics on the performance of the annual postWrestleMania European Tour in April butfocusing on poor Latin America performance. Overall for the quarter, Live Events Revenue was $35.4 million, compared to $35.2 million in the prior year quarter. WWE said the strong performance of WrestleMania was offset by lower attendance and ticket sales from our events in international markets.   International Live Events revenue was $13.1 million, as compared to $14.6 million in the prior year quarter. A 10 percent decline in international revenue can be factored to declines in ticket prices and average attendance.
