After the Dudley Boyz, Hardy Boyz and Edge and Christian left the tag division, it really has hit a slump. For years random pairings consisted of who wore the tag belts. Then Triple H started taking a larger role backstage and it seemed a breath of fresh air was restored.
2012 started with several teams that could have held the belts and rebranded the division. The most successful have been the current champions Kane and Daniel Bryan. Their comical skits never get old and their opposite styles mesh well together.
As for the rest of the tag division, it has seen several teams attempt to make a name, but it never works out. The finger of blame could be pointed...
