The Randy Orton fan attack story continues to get more bizarre. My initial reaction was that the incident was staged because WWE have had many fan run-ins over the years and never handled them quite like this. They covered the attack on the homepage of WWE.com, uploaded video of the incident on Youtube and even gave updates on Orton’s “injuries”. If you watch the video it even looks like Orton sells the attack as if it was a fellow wrestler, falling off the turnbuckle and bumping on the mat. It’s odd that they’d hype a story about one of their top guys essentially getting punked out by a weak looking fan, if there wasn’t something more to it.
