Memphis wrestling promoter Corey Maclin died in a car crash late Tuesday night, on south I-55 near Sardis, MS.
Maclin revived the Memphis Wrestling name in 2003 and promoted a family friendly studio wrestling show that aired locally and often featured Jerry Lawler.
He was also a local sportscaster for several years and was involved in politics.
In latter years Maclin and Lawler were embroiled in a lawsuit over the Memphis Wrestling name and the use of classic footage.
